Anita was a beautiful, brave and courageous young woman who lost her long battle with ovarian cancer on 1st July 2013 at The Christie Hospital, aged 35.
She was much loved - a wonderful daughter to Joan and Pete, amazing big sister to Kate and husband Matt, loving partner to Steve and caring niece to Ange and Les.
Anita loved life. Everything she did she did to the fullest. She loved travelling to various countries but always had a particular passion for France - especially skiing in the Alps and exploring Paris.
Anita loved spending time with family and friends. Holidays and weekends away would be great fun, with lots of long country walks, visits to nice pubs and always plenty of laughter. Most weekends would involve spending time together as a family and walking Bijou, Anita and Steve's beloved boxer dog.
Anita also had a passion for sport. Recently, she was a very active member her local Tennis Club. Anita was Ladies Captain, player, committee member, fundraiser, motivator and interior designer at the club! Every year she would go to Wimbledon to enjoy the tennis, and enjoy a glass or two of Pimms!
She loved motorsports too - in particular Moto GP and motorcycle trials. Having grown up in the world of trials thanks to our Dad, she loved going along at weekends to watch him compete and socialise with people she had known since she was young. Her enthusiasm for Moto GP took Anita to Italy, France and Portugal to watch her hero, Valentino Rossi.
Anita was well known for being a brilliant organiser and perfectionist. Everything she did was just right. She would always make beautiful cakes and handmade cards for friends. She would go on city breaks with the girls and organise all the itineraries, what to see, where to go - all planned to the last detail.
Anita was the strongest, bravest person we'll know. She handled everything she went through with dignity, courage and humour. Her outlook on life was always positive - she lived for the day and if she wanted something she would have it or do it. Even though she faced Cancer head on, it never defined her and she would always be busy thinking about other people. She was so caring, selfless and a true inspiration to others.
